ACWORTH, GA (2/20/2020) – An accident on Wednesday afternoon sent one motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries in Acworth. The crash occurred at the intersection of Cowan Road and the Cowan Connector.
The Cobb County Police Department and the Acworth Police Department state that a Toyota Corolla driven by 76-year-old Ludene G. Harris was driving north on Cowan Road and attempted to make a left turn onto the Cowan Connector.
A motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Errol J. Simms was heading south on Cowan Road when it collided with the Toyota.
Simms was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact. He was sent to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the accident. Both Cobb County and Acworth Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
