COBB COUNTY, GA (2/10/2020) — A 15-year old boy in Cobb County was hit and killed by an SUV while he was riding his bike on Monday. The accident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Smyrna Powder Springs Road near Neese Drive.
According to police, the boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk of Smyrna Powder Springs Road and was trying to cross the street to Neese Drive when a 2008 Ford Explorer hit him.
The driver was not injured in the accident, but the boy died.
Due to darkness and heavy rain, police stated that charges are not expected for this accident.
