COBB COUNTY, GA (2/22/2020) — Local authorities have identified a teenager who died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon. The crash occurred on Alabama Road at Old Mountain Park Road around 4:30 p.m.
According to a Cobb County Police spokesperson, a 2001 Nissan Altima driven by 21-year-old Genesis L. Lugo turned left while driving east on Alabama Road and hit a 2009 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle that was driving west.
The motorcycle driver, Cameron S. Clason, 18, was ejected from his motorcycle. He was later taken to North Fulton Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program is currently investigating the accident. It is unknown if any charges have been issued.
