COBB COUNTY, GA (3/7/2020) — A Cobb County police officer and resident are currently recovering after being involved in a crash at a traffic stop over the weekend.
According to Cobb County authorities, a police officer was conducting a traffic stop on South Cobb Drive at Barclay Circle when a driver ran into the rear of the officer’s vehicle.
Both the officer and the driver were taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, but have since been released.
Officers have not said whether the driver will be charged for the crash.
In light of this accident, police urge drivers to drive carefully, slow down, and get over when they see emergency vehicles working on the road.
