Marietta, GA (8/16/2020) — The Marietta police department responded to a two-car crash at North Marietta Parkway and Cobb Parkway North just before 7:30 PM on Sunday. The vehicles collided in the intersection, leaving both drivers badly injured.
The drivers, Rhena McCormick and Tyler Peacock, were both taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.
As he traveled west, Peacock did not stop at the red light at the intersection. McCormick was in the intersection as Peacock approached, resulting in the collision. The impact of the crash caused Peacock’s Toyota 4Runner to roll, expelling him from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities plan to file charges, but the crash is still under investigation
